The structure of the Atmos Boss is Anodized steel, it is scratch resistant and it is capable of withstanding the most common mistakes when handling a vaporizer, dropping it.
ATMOS BOSS DESIGN
Combining durability, efficiency and style, the Atmos Boss features a cutting edge stainless steel heating chamber designed for exclusive use with herbal blends and promises to generate "true vapor" without combustion.
The Boss Vaporizer Pen is powered by a removable 3.3 - 4.2 volt PCB/IC protected 1200mAh battery which unscrews easily from the herb chamber just like most vapor pens.
You will know the battery needs to be recharged when the LED lights at the base flash 8 times rapidly. Before first use, be sure to charge the battery for between 1.5 - 2 hours.
While charging the LED light at the base will glow bright purple. The indicator light on the USB charger will turn from red to green when at full capacity.
Compared to some bulkier plastic vapes that claim to be pen sized but are in truth significantly larger, the Atmos Boss is actually the size and shape of a standard pen.
Even more, the Boss is handing out pink slips in the area of durability, sporting an anodized steel exterior far superior to the aforementioned plastic type handhelds.
In terms of style, the Atmos Boss Dry Herb Vaporizer is also running the show. The sleek stainless steel exterior exudes luxury and technology, featuring a unique hexagon design and Atmos logo to show off its authenticity.
HOW IT WORKS
Before using the Atmos Boss Vape Pen, be sure to read the instruction manual carefully and that the battery is completely charged.
Once charged simply load the heating chamber with your finely ground material and you are ready to vaporize herbs like a pro! Press the power button 3 times quickly to activate the heating element.
The Atmos Boss heats up within just 40 seconds. While heating the LED light at the base will glow blue. Once at temp the light will switch to red so you know it is ready to use and will remain activated for an additional 50 seconds.
Q & A
How do I use the Boss?
Atmos has refined the design of the heating chamber, making the Boss extremely simple to use. Refer to the full instructions located on the ‘User Guide’ tab, but here is a quick rundown on using the Boss:
Charge the Boss - This could take a few hours the first time, but subsequent charges should not take longer than 45-60 minutes.
Load the Boss - Loading the chamber is easily done by removing the draw stem from the Boss connector, then filling the tank full with finely ground aromatic blends. Do not fill tightly, but don’t leave the blends loose either. Replace the draw stem and turn the Boss on. If the switch on the Boss is locked, unlock by pressing the button five times. This enables the power switch and the Boss is ready to use.
Power up and draw - Press the power button firmly for 3-5 seconds then release to begin vaporization. The LED indicator will turn from red to green to indicate that the device is fully heated and ready for use.
How long does it take for the Boss to pre-heat?
The Boss heats up in roughly 3-5 seconds. With a 900mAh Li-Ion battery, the Boss heats up fast and lasts a long, long time.
How do I change the temperature?
There are no temperature settings on the Boss. It goes from room temperature to its peak temperature in just just a few seconds.
What determines vapor quality in the Boss?
Varying your draw rate can affect vapor thickness, slowing your draw rate will create thicker vapors, and a quick draw rate will create slightly thinner vapors. As the air intake is governed, there is only so much you can do to vary your draw rate.
Since the Boss has only one temperature setting, its essentially foolproof. Hold the button to activate the oven, wait for the light to turn green and draw until you have your fill.
Is the Boss compatible with liquids and concentrates?
The Boss was designed solely for aromatic blends. Putting liquids and/or concentrates that melt into the Boss’s heating chamber will likely ruin your device and void your warranty.
My vapors seem thin. What can I do to change that?
Ensure that your grind level is fine, consistent, and you have enough (but not too much!) loaded into the chamber. In theory you can load any amount the the chamber will hold (don’t fill too tightly) but the less you use, the thinner the vapors will be. With a lightly loaded chamber, the warm air can easily bypass the blends.
Varying your draw rate can effect vapor thickness, slowing your draw rate will create thicker vapors, and a quick draw rate will create slightly thinner vapors.
Since the Boss has only one temperature setting, its essentially foolproof.
What is the Boss made from?
The heating chamber is Stainless Steel, the draw stem is rubber, and the body is made of aluminum.
Will Boss over-heat?
There is only one temp setting for the Boss, and its been set in the 380-390° range(max), so you should not have an overheating issue!
How full should the tank be?
3/4 full should be fine, but completely full is recommended. Loading smaller amounts will work to varying degrees.
Is there an auto-shutoff on the Boss?
Yes, after 40s activating, and 50s continuous use, the Boss will power off.
There is also a safety on the power switch, clicking it 3 times turns off the power button, and repeating this turns the button back on. This is great if you have the Boss in your purse, or pocket, as it prevents it from going off accidentally and wasting your battery or worse.
As a general safety rule, do not leave the Boss unattended while powered on.
What size Screens does the Boss use?
The Boss uses a unique ceramic ‘screen’ that you shouldn’t ever need to replace, outside of losing it. To clean, use a paper clip to clear the holes; soak in isopropyl alcohol, but if you feel that you do, please contact us and our expert agents will help you find a solution. The additional stainless mesh filter can be cleaned with isopropyl alchohol.
What type battery does the Boss use?
The batteries are 900mAh Li-Ion and are not replaceable.
How do I know if my Boss Battery needs to be charged?
When the Boss Battery is in need of a charge, the power button will flash 8 times rapidly when pressed.
At this time, remove the atomizer and connect the Boss to the Boss USB or AC adapter.
How long does it take to recharge the battery?
According to Atmos, allow 3-4 hours charging time for the first 3-4 cycles. Subsequent chargings should only take about one hour to charge.
How should I care for my Boss?
Within the crucible of your Boss tank, the Stainless Steel works to clean itself by heating off any residue that comes in contact with it. We don’t recommend using any type of liquid cleaning agent in the Boss tank, as doing so could cause it to malfunction. The included brush and also the chenile sticks are excellent cleaners and should be all you need.
The draw stem can be cleaned with the brush, or soaked in isopropyl alcohol until the buildup dissolves.
How often should I clean my Boss
Check your heating chamber as often as possible, and clean as needed.
Is it okay to use isopropyl alcohol on my Boss?
We don’t recommend any liquids coming near or in contact with the Boss.
If you need to clean the outside of the Boss, use a warm barely damp cloth. If the Boss gets wet in any way, allow to dry in the sun or a warm dry area until COMPLETELY DRY. Attempting to use the Boss if wet will cause serious damage to the unit.
